July 2014

Happy 4th of July!!!!!
It was such a wonderful day! We spent the day in Edmond at my parents and had a big family bash. Mimi even came out from the nursing home to spend the day with us. I will always remember this picture because the only way we could get her to smile to  get her to say "whiskey". So cute and so fun!

Denver and I took time to pose for a pic. You can't tell in this picture but I am 4.5 months pregnant! I've lost almost 15 pounds so far this pregnancy due to suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, but both Baby Tunip and I are doing well.

After spending all afternoon in Edmond, we came back to Norman to go to Belmar Golf and Country Club to watch the fireworks [like we do every year]. Mom and dad and Shawn and Jody came too. They were equally impressed with the amazing show that Toby Keith puts on every year.

We also got to get all fancied up one evening to attend our friends' Kobi and Cody's wedding at The Scirvin. What a beautiful wedding it was. I chopped off my hair this day too, so I debuting my new look! Plus, I am feeling pretty good again, as my morning sickness has seemed to ebb!

17 weeks!

18 weeks!
To beat the heat, Heather [Williams] and I met up at Chuck E. Cheese one HOT Sunday afternoon to let Saylor and Keller play because they hadn't seen each other in so long. After 2 hours they were spent and we decided that this might need to become our regular hang out!

Terra Verde sings at Rivermont

I say it all the time, but I will say it again--we are SO HAPPY that we have found Terra Verde Discovery School for Keller to attend. This year has been amazing. We have gone from having a child who HATED going to school everyday the last two years to having a little boy who can't wait to get there in the morning.  His teacher, Ms. Lindsay Berryhill, is an amazing woman who has gotten Keller to tune in and love learning.  Among the wonderful things he has done in first grade this year, including learning Mandarin, having a lemonade stand to earn money to build an animal hospital for dramatic play, visiting The Orr Family Farm, having a manners lunch at Charlestons, and many more things, he also had the opportunity to sing Christmas carols with his 89 other school mates at Rivermont Retirement Home.  The seniors at the home were so entered by these children and we were truly impressed with how well they all behaved. The singing was excellent, but what was truly inspiring w...

It's been ENTIRELY too long!

Clearly Keller is distraught that it has been so long since my last posting. It has been almost two weeks since my last blog post. These last two weeks at school have been so busy that when I come home at night the last thing I want to do is get on the computer. Plus, working so much has not left me ample time to get good shots of Keller. When we're playing and he does something funny I never have the camera around. However, as a good change of pace I do have some good video taken from this weekend. My mom keeps Keller 2-3 days a week and for some reason she decided the boy does not have enough toys. As if...(haha, throwback to Clueless). So, she decided Keller needed to work on being the next Tiger Woods (before all the you know). Anyway, this is Keller with his very first set of golf clubs. At first glance, he seems like a natural... Doesn't it look like he hit the ball right into the cup and is now getting the ball out of his hole-in-one? We he did get it in the cup ...
