March 2014

March was beginning the time of year that just gets insanely busy for me. Rehearsals for the end of the year production ramp up, spring break, t-ball starts...Everything starts in March and I feel like it doesn't slow down until June. The beginning of March was still cold. We had a weird late season snow storm and after unseasonable warm weather in February, this month was COLD.  One day at SAM's Club we ran into Trevor Knight, the OU Sooners quarterback, and some other of the football players. They were the nicest group of guys and were all too happy to snap a quick pick with Keller.  Jed and I managed to squeeze in a date night at Pinot's Palette in Bricktown and did our own canvas paintings. I have done it several times before, but this was his first. We really had a good time! I think I might even be able to drag him again in the future. The weekend of spring break, my cousin Kari had her bachelorette party in Tulsa and we had a great gi...

February 2014

February was a pretty slow month for us. The only thing that kept us busy (and worried) was Mommo being in the hospital for a couple weeks because of an intestine problem. It was awful and we were worried about her. The silver lining in all of it was that Aunt Joli came and stayed with us for a few days. She spent the days at the hospital with her mom, but in the evenings she hung out at our house. Keller loved having his Aunt Joli here to show off for. And they had a blast making funny faces for the camera.  February was unseasonably warm, so we spent a few of the "warmer" days outside playing with chalk. Keller manages to get it everywhere, as I guess he thinks it is face paint too! I spent the afternoon creating the ultimate hopscotch board on the back patio. I think it went from 1-50, and there were jumps, turns, arrows going every-which-way...it was a lot of fun and was so much better than the boring old 1-10 stuff I grew up playing. Plus, it got Kelle...

January 2014

Even though January is supposed to be a happy time as it is the beginning of a new year, the beginning of January is always a little depressing for me because all it means is that on the 3rd or 4th, Christmas Break is over, and it's time to go back to work. I love so much having those two weeks off to hang out with my little buddy. We love visiting Firehouse Subs as much as we can because during the school year we don't get to eat there all that much. Firehouse is one of Keller's favorites. His other favorite is Peanut M&M's, and I guess this time he decided to share them with Buzz  Lightyear!  Oh, and see what wonderfulness his father taught him at the ripe old age of 6?! In mid-January we traveled to Lake Travis near Austin, TX for the 40th birthday of Bryan Hogue, one of Jed's high school buddies. I have never been to Austin before (and for that matter don't even plan to go there!), but I think we only made it as far as Round Rock. All ...

Golf fun

On a rare "cool" 90 degree Saturday afternoon in August we took a family outing to the golf course. Keller really seems interested in the sport and that is just fine with me! He and Jed did pretty well swingin' the clubs. Me? Of I just drive the cart and take the pics. Every once in awhile I'll hit it but watch out!

First grade

Keller's first day of first grade was August 24, 2015. He started a new school this year called Terra Verde. It is a private school that specializes in the "responsive classroom" philosophy and IT IS AWESOME! We are so happy to be part of the TV family and are so excited to see what the next 9 months hold for Keller! Just in case you are wondering why Keller isn't wearing any shoes....well at this school they don't wear shoes inside the classroom and he couldn't wait to kick them off. Literally....he couldn't even wait until after this dang picture.

Christmas 2013 Part 4

Mimi with 7 of her 12 grandkids and all 4 great-grandkids. And finally we get to Christmas Day. This year we spent it at my parents' house in Edmond, and while it is usually a pretty quiet affair with just a few family members and a nice dinner, this year we had an all out party to ring in the holiday. My Aunt Kelli and her family live in Colorado and were in town for the holidays. They had the two most wonderful additions to their family happen in August when they went to Ethiopia to adopt Selah Joy and Greyson Titus, so when they came out at Christmas it was the first time the whole Summers clan got to meet the two kiddos. Oh and what a delight they were! I don't have a long story for this post, I think the pictures and the captions will pretty much sum themselves up! Todd...need I say more... Dad was able to get Mimi out of the nursing home to come celebrate with us and to meet her new grandchildren. In this photo is Mimi with her three kids: Staci, Kelli, T...
