Christmas 2013 Part 4

Mimi with 7 of her 12 grandkids and all 4 great-grandkids.
And finally we get to Christmas Day. This year we spent it at my parents' house in Edmond, and while it is usually a pretty quiet affair with just a few family members and a nice dinner, this year we had an all out party to ring in the holiday.

My Aunt Kelli and her family live in Colorado and were in town for the holidays. They had the two most wonderful additions to their family happen in August when they went to Ethiopia to adopt Selah Joy and Greyson Titus, so when they came out at Christmas it was the first time the whole Summers clan got to meet the two kiddos. Oh and what a delight they were!

I don't have a long story for this post, I think the pictures and the captions will pretty much sum themselves up!

Dad was able to get Mimi out of the nursing home to come celebrate with us and to meet her new grandchildren. In this photo is Mimi with her three kids: Staci, Kelli, Todd, and Tiffani.



Keller got a bike called a Razor 360 from Nonnie and Papa Todd and man is this thing cool! Hopefully the video below works...

Meanwhile, I got some reading time in with my beautiful Ethiopian princess Selah.

Mr. Greyson Titus was not shy around the cameras. He is always photo ready.

Haven't seen Zac in so long. I love getting to catch up!

I love this man with all of my heart. If there is a better man in this world, I would like to meet him because I think my Papa Chuck takes the cake.


 First we were cousins, now we were sisters. Chi Omega forever!

Terra Verde sings at Rivermont

I say it all the time, but I will say it again--we are SO HAPPY that we have found Terra Verde Discovery School for Keller to attend. This year has been amazing. We have gone from having a child who HATED going to school everyday the last two years to having a little boy who can't wait to get there in the morning.  His teacher, Ms. Lindsay Berryhill, is an amazing woman who has gotten Keller to tune in and love learning.  Among the wonderful things he has done in first grade this year, including learning Mandarin, having a lemonade stand to earn money to build an animal hospital for dramatic play, visiting The Orr Family Farm, having a manners lunch at Charlestons, and many more things, he also had the opportunity to sing Christmas carols with his 89 other school mates at Rivermont Retirement Home.  The seniors at the home were so entered by these children and we were truly impressed with how well they all behaved. It's been ENTIRELY too long!

Clearly Keller is distraught that it has been so long since my last posting. It has been almost two weeks since my last blog post. These last two weeks at school have been so busy that when I come home at night the last thing I want to do is get on the computer. Plus, working so much has not left me ample time to get good shots of Keller. When we're playing and he does something funny I never have the camera around. However, as a good change of pace I do have some good video taken from this weekend. My mom keeps Keller 2-3 days a week and for some reason she decided the boy does not have enough toys. As if...(haha, throwback to Clueless). So, she decided Keller needed to work on being the next Tiger Woods (before all the you know). Anyway, this is Keller with his very first set of golf clubs. At first glance, he seems like a natural... Doesn't it look like he hit the ball right into the cup and is now getting the ball out of his hole-in-one? We he did get it in the cup ...
