It's been ENTIRELY too long!

Clearly Keller is distraught that it has been so long since my last posting.

It has been almost two weeks since my last blog post. These last two weeks at school have been so busy that when I come home at night the last thing I want to do is get on the computer. Plus, working so much has not left me ample time to get good shots of Keller. When we're playing and he does something funny I never have the camera around. However, as a good change of pace I do have some good video taken from this weekend.
My mom keeps Keller 2-3 days a week and for some reason she decided the boy does not have enough toys. As if...(haha, throwback to Clueless). So, she decided Keller needed to work on being the next Tiger Woods (before all the you know). Anyway, this is Keller with his very first set of golf clubs.
At first glance, he seems like a natural...
Doesn't it look like he hit the ball right into the cup and is now getting the ball out of his hole-in-one? We he did get it in the cup on the first try...just not necessarily with his golf club.

Look how serious. He decided he didn't like where I had placed the golf cup and so decided to move it on his own. He was full of concentration during this golf outing.

Golf was quickly forgotten, however, when he wandered into the garage and found his four-wheeler. I really wish I had more action shots of Keller riding the vehicle, but this is what he does. He sits on it, and then gets off it and pushes it.

Call me weird but sometimes I think a baby in just a t-shirt and diaper is so cute, and yes that goes hand in hand with Keller simply not wanting to wear shorts and me not wanting to fight him and cause a screaming fit. So, he wins and runs around in his t-shirt and diaper. This week Keller's Momo also went shopping for him and bought him the cutest boots ever.
How cute are those things? I can hardly wait until it is cold enough for him to wear them! However, Keller loves this things, and even though it was 89 degrees outside today, he insisted on wearing them around the house all afternoon! So there you go, t-shirt, diaper, and boots. Wow. What a look!
As I said, it was so nice outside that we played out there until it started getting dark. Yesterday when we were cleaning out the attic, we found an old box marked "Jed's Old Balls" and it was indeed a whole bunch of old footballs and basketballs. Keller was in hog heaven. Upon closer inspection today most of the balls were so flat and so old they won't even hold air anymore and so they had to be thrown out, but the ones that worked were taken outside and K had a grand ole time with them. Of course, I failed to take pictures of him actually playing with them (I will get better!), but I do have a video.
For whatever reason, Keller loves it when Jed dribbles the basketball. When he dribbles, Keller starts doing this little dance and shuffling his feet. When Jed stops dribbling, Keller stops dancing. And it goes on and on. We did this on a number of different occasions just to see if it was a coincidence, and Keller did the same thing every time! So here's just a little bit.

And here's one more. This is what he thinks of Texas...

Terra Verde sings at Rivermont

I say it all the time, but I will say it again--we are SO HAPPY that we have found Terra Verde Discovery School for Keller to attend. This year has been amazing. We have gone from having a child who HATED going to school everyday the last two years to having a little boy who can't wait to get there in the morning.  His teacher, Ms. Lindsay Berryhill, is an amazing woman who has gotten Keller to tune in and love learning.  Among the wonderful things he has done in first grade this year, including learning Mandarin, having a lemonade stand to earn money to build an animal hospital for dramatic play, visiting The Orr Family Farm, having a manners lunch at Charlestons, and many more things, he also had the opportunity to sing Christmas carols with his 89 other school mates at Rivermont Retirement Home.  The seniors at the home were so entered by these children and we were truly impressed with how well they all behaved. The singing was excellent, but what was truly inspiring w...
