30th Birthday

I celebrated my 30th birthday last weekend. SIGH... My actual birthday was on Sunday, but on Saturday night Jed threw me a surprise party. My dearest friends were all in attendance and we had a blast. I wish we had been better at taking pictures. Alas... There are a few posted on Facebook, if you really want to see. (Please ignore how awful I look though because had I known I would have a party being held in my honor, I would have made an effort to look prettier, instead of just bumming it in Saturday clothes). This one is funny though. Someone brought a Margarita machine and she made regular ones and then also non-alcoholic strawberry margaritas. Keller LOVED those. For some reason, he has also taken a liking to his Bumbo chair again. It has been in his closet for months because he got too chubby for it. But, he somehow managed to drag it out last weekend and now all he wants to do is sit in it and play. Two year olds...There is not much to say to that... He also has a fe...

It's a nice balmy 50 degrees outside...

...so that means we had to go out and play! It has seriously been so freaking cold this past week, you couldn't even go outside unless it was absolutely necessary. Finally, Saturday turned out to be pretty okay in the late part of the afternoon, so we took poor Keller (who had been cooped up in the house all week) to the playground. He started off on this slide which is supposed to be for smaller kids I assumed. Only, Keller slid so fast down it, he flew off the end and landed flat on his butt! Once I made sure he was okay, I fell over laughing because it was so funny. The boy was so happy to just get outside and run! And, of course, we had to stop to play in the dirt. Keller managed to find the biggest rock... ...and insisted that I have it. What a nice guy! In this picture he is at the very top of the big kids slide-the one that turns 'round and 'round. Keller has always been too scared to climb to the top himself and go down it, but not toda...

Love at first sight

OU played in the Fiesta Bowl (and won!) on New Year's Day, so we went over to our friends', Josh and Heather, to watch the game. They have a little girl named Saylor who was born in October-actually I have a blog post about her birth-and she is so darn cute. Keller is infatuated with babies right now (I think he's ready for a little sister, trying to convince my husband of that is a different story), and he loved playing with Saylor. Heather and I joke that they are betrothed and one day we will be future in-laws. Hehe. The quality of these photos is not the greatest, as they were taken with my phone because I forgot my camera, but they are still cute! Keller decided Buzz Lightyear needed a turn in the swing. I thought this was an absolutely adorable picture of Saylor smiling and laughing at Keller. She liked him as much as he liked her! This was before she woke up-obviously- and he just had to bend down and give her a kiss. This is...
