Nora Lynn Cole

They say lightening doesn't strike twice in the same place, but I beg to differ. During this pregnancy, my OB Dr. Anderson decided that I also needed a perinatal specialist to keep an eye on me this time after having a stillborn baby two years ago. At first this freaked me out, but she assured me it was just a precaution as they didn't really expect any complications with this pregnancy. Creason died because of a cord accident. The likelihood of that happening again was slim to none. So, once I digested the fact that I was going to have to see a perinatal specialist this time around not just because I wanted to find out the sex of my baby early (as we had with Keller and Creason. Dr. Mirable is good at what he does!), I actually became okay with the idea. I was basically going to be having doctor's check-ups every two weeks, which meant more ultrasounds, more pics of baby and more peace of mind! Our official due date was Dec. 13, 2014. 12/13/14. How cool is that? The fact...

July 2014

Happy 4th of July!!!!! It was such a wonderful day! We spent the day in Edmond at my parents and had a big family bash. Mimi even came out from the nursing home to spend the day with us. I will always remember this picture because the only way we could get her to smile to  get her to say "whiskey". So cute and so fun! Denver and I took time to pose for a pic. You can't tell in this picture but I am 4.5 months pregnant! I've lost almost 15 pounds so far this pregnancy due to suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, but both Baby Tunip and I are doing well. After spending all afternoon in Edmond, we came back to Norman to go to Belmar Golf and Country Club to watch the fireworks [like we do every year]. Mom and dad and Shawn and Jody came too. They were equally impressed with the amazing show that Toby Keith puts on every year.  We also got to get all fancied up one evening to attend our friends' Kobi and Cody's wedding at The Scirvin. What a beaut...

June 2014

School is over and summer vacation has commenced! Too bad most days I still just lay on the couch because all I want to do most days is throw up. But, things are looking up. The severity of the nausea seems to be lessening. We had a 13 week check up, baby is healthy, I am healthy and an early ultrasound looks like all things point towards GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keller has spent some time at the nursing home visiting Mimi, and even dresses up like a Ninja Turtle to show off his ninja skills. She gets a kick out of it and he loves teaching her about them. Baby Tunip...14 weeks! Keller as Puss in Boots To beat the heat, since our neighborhood pool  still  isn't built yet, we went to the spray ground in Norman. I can relax and Keller can run and play in the water. Great way to spend a few hours during the day.

May 2014

Ah, May. The end of the school year, and the absolute busiest month of the year for us. We have t-ball in full swing, a ga-jillion birthdays (Stu, Jed, my Mom, Creason, Tanner, and others I know I am leaving off), end of the year school activities, weddings, it goes on and on... Stuart and Rita attended one of Keller's t-ball games and we went to Chuy's to celebrate Stuart's birthday afterward. This is on of my favorite pics of 3 generations of Cole boys. Keller with his Bapa and Mommo Keller tried play catcher this t-ball season. Clearly, you can see how attentive he is... May was also the reading award assembly at K.I.D., and Keller was recognized for having read over 1000 minutes during the school year. He received a medal for reading the most books in his class! I loved working half-day this year because I was able to attend all of his school events! Mrs. Aguiar and Mrs. Dismuke with Keller So proud of our boy! (Ignore the way I look. Morni...

April 2014

April was a busy month...tball, weddings, Easter, family... We started off the month with my cousin Kari's wedding. Just Keller and I attended with my parents because I think Jed was in a fishing tournament(?). Keller insisted on having a new "tuxedo" for her wedding and he was quite proud of himself in his new duds. Our shameless selfie on our way to the wedding.  a Kari had a photo booth and aside from Keller and his cousin Brady's dancing, I think the photobooth was the hit of the evening.   Keller decided to play tball again this year. His team name was the Giants and his coach I think we are going to really like. He used to pay professional ball in the San Fransisco Giants organization. Hopefully he can teach the boys a thing or two this year :) Keller has also decided he likes another sport...GOLF! I am only too thrilled for him to take this up. He seems to be a natural and he loves to go out and swing the sticks wit...
