Time to cool off

After a long first Monday back after five days off, I just wanted to come home and chill. However, as I was getting in the (empty) fridge to get a snack, Keller decided to play. It was too funny not to take pictures of. Jed has a package of whole mushrooms sitting on the bottom shelf and Keller took them out one by one and lined them up on the shelf above him! And when the package was empty, he took them down one by one and put them back in their container and closed the door! It was one of the funniest things I have ever seen! P.S. Blue Eyes BBQ now has its own Facebook page with a website coming soon. Become a fan! Become a friend! Try a sauce! We have three selling like hotcakes with a fourth in development.

Fall Break

Fall Break started last Wednesday. It was so nice to have 5 days off to just hang out with Keller. Fall Break also equals the end of the first nine weeks which means the school year is 1/4 of the way over. It also means that Christmas break is only 9 weeks away! WooHoo! Keller and I got to spend a lot of quality time together and it was awesome because I have been so busy lately with school stuff. So on Wednesday we played outside pretty much all day. While we were out in the backyard, Keller discovered dandelions! At first he just walked around the backyard trying to smell them. But after I picked one and showed him what to do with it he became very fasinated. So he tried to blow and it tickled his nose, so then he tried to eat it and quickly realized it doesn't taste so good. He really was cracking me up because he was fascinated by the stupid weed for about half and hour (which is years in his book). Finally, we moved on to other things though. Wednesday was a big flying day...

It's been ENTIRELY too long!

Clearly Keller is distraught that it has been so long since my last posting. It has been almost two weeks since my last blog post. These last two weeks at school have been so busy that when I come home at night the last thing I want to do is get on the computer. Plus, working so much has not left me ample time to get good shots of Keller. When we're playing and he does something funny I never have the camera around. However, as a good change of pace I do have some good video taken from this weekend. My mom keeps Keller 2-3 days a week and for some reason she decided the boy does not have enough toys. As if...(haha, throwback to Clueless). So, she decided Keller needed to work on being the next Tiger Woods (before all the you know). Anyway, this is Keller with his very first set of golf clubs. At first glance, he seems like a natural... Doesn't it look like he hit the ball right into the cup and is now getting the ball out of his hole-in-one? We he did get it in the cup ...

Saylor Grace

On Wednesday, Oct. 13, one of my best friends from high school, Heather (Coffman)Williams had her very first baby-a little girl she and her husband Josh have named Saylor Grace. I was so lucky to be able to watch Saylor be born, along with my other close friend and Heather's cousin Sara as we acted as "official" camera and film persons for Saylor's first moments. I loved getting to hold her. It was such a special day and I am grateful I was able to be part of it. I definitely came home with baby fever, much to Jed's chagrin. Don't hold your breath though, more kids for this couple are still a few years off. We are enjoying our time with Keller right now, and he is way more than enough for us to handle. I can't imagine adding anymore! Sara and I came up with the great idea to decorate Heather's house for when she came home from the hospital. I was thinking a sign in the yard, some streamers, a few balloons. It all sounded great to Sara, except  for ...

Keller's New Toy

Perhaps the funniest part of the weekend was when Uncle Tanner decided that for some reason his 1 1/2 year old nephew needed a light saber. Yes, that's right a light saber. Before Tanner could give it to Keller, he had to try it out himself first. But when we got home is when the true fun began. Uncle T showed Keller how to use the light saber and how to hit with it and that is exactly what he did. HE HIT TANNER WITH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keller loved this freaking thing. I recorded him repeatedly beating Tanner with the light saber and he was cracking himself up. So I have it on video but for some reason cannot get it loaded on the computer. If I ever do, I will be sure to post it because it is hysterical! Keller was belly laughing, like I have only heard him do one or maybe 2 other times. It was so funny! It was a such a fun weekend, and I hope everyone enjoyed reading about it as much as I loved telling about it!

Boomer Sooners! Texas Sucks

Saturday was the 105th Red River Rivalry between Oklahoma and Texas at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas! What an exciting weekend it was! Things kicked off on Friday night with an OU Pep Rally at Humperdinks. The Sports Animal broadcast from that location all day long; unfortunately, by the time we arrived the radio guys had packed up and left but there were still so  many other Sooners fans there it was unreal! It was a very interesting night. Tanner had my camera and took the liberty at one point of taking pics of the most interesting woman sitting across from us. You can just see her blonde hair in the pic above. OH,AND SHE WAS INTERESTING to see. However (henceforth known as Barbie's Evil Twin or BET), I used editor's discretion and chose not to upload the obscene pictures BET or her black thong and fake lips/cheeks/eyelashes, etc. This is a family blog after all... Things got even better when BET's Texas Longhorns fan friend showed up in her mini dress and hiked her legs up...

Friday, Oct. 1, 2010

The weekend of Oct. 1-3 was the Red River Rivalry in Texas. We had an exciting weekend plan. First things first, on Friday Keller and I got to see my college friend Shea and her little girl, Kinley. Shea recently moved to Dallas from North Carolina and we haven't seen each other in about 3 years, so it was great to get to catch up. There are so many memories, we have yet to catch up on... We met up at Grapevine Mills Mall for a day of shopping. Just in case your wondering, Yes we switched kids in the picture. Actually we were comparing our children's weights, and Shea about died when she picked up Keller! It was so funny! Before we went shopping we ate at Rainforest Cafe because we thought the kiddos would love the atmosphere. Boy were we wrong. While they liked the way the animals moved, they did not  like the thunderstorms that happen in the  place. Poor Kinley was terrified... ...while Keller couldn't really seem to figure out what was going on. Our shopping trip ...
