Kinley and Keller

At the beginning of August, Keller and I took a quick trip to Dallas. One of my good friends from college, Shea, lives in Dallas. She has a little girl named Kinley who is also three ( just about 8 weeks younger than Keller). These two have so much fun every time they get together, we were so happy to be able to get them together again. In the past I have had such a tight time frame while in Dallas that the kids only get to see each other for a couple hours, but this time we spent 2 days with Shea and Kinley, and the kiddos had a blast together.
I took a ton of pictures but I didn't realize the batteries on my camera were low (not to mention I am a terrible photographer), so I only have a few cute ones to post. Shea has tons better pics but here are my cutest!
We don't have a Firehouse Subs yet in Norman (thought it is being built) so whenever I am in Dallas I make sure to eat there. Luckily, it is one of Shea's favorite places too!

Accompanying Keller on our ride home from Dallas is Henry his new dog from Ikea.

I came upstairs to find this two flining stuffed animals back and forth off the bed trying to knock the other down. What goofballs!

Kinley was brave enought to climb to the top of the big slide at Pump It Up. Keller, not so much. She came down but can you see her face? She is really thinking about if she wants to go down this mountain or not! She did. ONCE.

Keller and Kinley had so much fun laughing together no matter what they did. They were fast friends from the day they met and I hope they always remain that way.

We always have such a blast visiting with the Mullis fam when we are in town. Hopefully since our house will be done soon they can trek up to Norman, catch a football or basketball game and help us break in our new house!

Terra Verde sings at Rivermont

I say it all the time, but I will say it again--we are SO HAPPY that we have found Terra Verde Discovery School for Keller to attend. This year has been amazing. We have gone from having a child who HATED going to school everyday the last two years to having a little boy who can't wait to get there in the morning.  His teacher, Ms. Lindsay Berryhill, is an amazing woman who has gotten Keller to tune in and love learning.  Among the wonderful things he has done in first grade this year, including learning Mandarin, having a lemonade stand to earn money to build an animal hospital for dramatic play, visiting The Orr Family Farm, having a manners lunch at Charlestons, and many more things, he also had the opportunity to sing Christmas carols with his 89 other school mates at Rivermont Retirement Home.  The seniors at the home were so entered by these children and we were truly impressed with how well they all behaved. The singing was excellent, but what was truly inspiring w...

It's been ENTIRELY too long!

Clearly Keller is distraught that it has been so long since my last posting. It has been almost two weeks since my last blog post. These last two weeks at school have been so busy that when I come home at night the last thing I want to do is get on the computer. Plus, working so much has not left me ample time to get good shots of Keller. When we're playing and he does something funny I never have the camera around. However, as a good change of pace I do have some good video taken from this weekend. My mom keeps Keller 2-3 days a week and for some reason she decided the boy does not have enough toys. As if...(haha, throwback to Clueless). So, she decided Keller needed to work on being the next Tiger Woods (before all the you know). Anyway, this is Keller with his very first set of golf clubs. At first glance, he seems like a natural... Doesn't it look like he hit the ball right into the cup and is now getting the ball out of his hole-in-one? We he did get it in the cup ...
