Uncle Tanner's wedding

Keller my little Storm Trooper. I have no idea when this picture was taken, but I thought it was so cute, I had to include it!

On March 3, 2012, Uncle Tanner married his fiance Jessica Mann in Wilmington, North Carolina. Keller was the ring bearer and I was a bridesmaid, so we had to make the trek out there. It was an exciting trip for our little K-Man. He got to fly for the first time ever and see the ocean for the first time ever! He loved both! So, I have many pictures to post from this exciting time, so I will try to keep the wording short and sweet.
Riding the shuttle from the parking at DFW to the terminal. Keller was just excited to ride the bus. This excited him so much, I could only imagine wha the plane trip would do. He kept askin us if Uncle T was going to fly his plane.

Walking down the jetway for the very first time.

Sitting in his airplane seat. I'm glad I got  a picture beforehand because when it was time to land the flight attendants made him put on his seatbelt again, he was not a happy camper. I have no idea what the kid had against the airplane seat belts but he hated them. He screamed and hollered and threw a fit. He loved taking off and loved landing even more. He liked going "bump" when the plane hit the landing strip.

I know it's not common practice anymore, but when we landed in Atlanta the pilot let Keller in the cockpit so he could "fly" the plane. He thought he was pretty special after that.
Watching the goings on of the tarmac.

He got his wings!

The following few pictures are of us having fun on the beach. Keller wasn't really sure if he liked it or not and at first we couldn't convince him to take his shoes off, but after he saw everyone else doing it, he was game. And if Papa Todd did it, then Keller did it. I think they were attached at the hip the whole time. Keller certainly is his Papa's boy. I migh just add, that I forgot in March in Wilmington that water is COLD!

Finally getting brave enough to take off his shoes, he isn't so sure what he thinks about the sand.
 Throing seashells into the ocean.
Papa Todd convinced Keller to walk towards the water. Then the waves came and got him. What you don't see are the tears that came after because that water "got him". I had to go tell the water it was bad and "to leave my baby alone." Sometimes he comes up with the funniest things.
Family shot. From left: Tanner, Jessica, Me, Jed, Dad, and Keller. I have no idea where my mom is.
Keller got used to the sand and loved loved loved digging in it. We tried to expain that this was just a big sandbox like what he has at home but he wasn't buying that because at home he has blue sand.
Keller and Papa Chuck a dinner at the Oceanic. My oh my how I miss that place. I hope we can go back sometime again when I am not pregnant so that I can truly enjoy it instead of trying not to be sick because of the seafood smell and my food aversions and smell sensitivity ( I was 8 weeks pregnant during Tanner's wedding).

What follows are some random shots from the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner.

 My wonderful parents!
Keller must be telling Aunt Jessica a story.

Standing a rehearsal just like he was supposed to. He was good for most of it. For a three year old he was very  good, but...
when you wake him up early from a nap sometimes you pay for it. This is the attitude that sometimes presents itself!
The wedding day arrived. Tanner his groomsmen (don't they all look handsome?) took the opportunity for a pre-game toast.

And Uncle T even included Keller

Keller and Papa Todd...don't ask me...

Jessica and her bridemaids

Keller was such a good ring bearer. He walked up the aisle just like he was supposed to-for the most part. The only slight hiccup came from the fact that he loves noise. He discovered that his shoes (hard-soled) made noise on he slate floors...so...throughout a good portion of the ceremony he stomped his feet on the ground to make "his music". Luckily, everyone thought it was funny instead of getting pissed off.

Papa Chuck is all smiles (I think it's because of all the cute single girls that were there...)

The wedding photographer took this picture. I didn't even know that Keller just decided to lay on the floor. You can see he was clearly done partying for the evening. Shirttails out, shirt unbottoned, belly hanging out. Too bad that won't be so cute when he's 23.

Tanner being Tanner...

Welcome to the family Jessica!

Terra Verde sings at Rivermont

I say it all the time, but I will say it again--we are SO HAPPY that we have found Terra Verde Discovery School for Keller to attend. This year has been amazing. We have gone from having a child who HATED going to school everyday the last two years to having a little boy who can't wait to get there in the morning.  His teacher, Ms. Lindsay Berryhill, is an amazing woman who has gotten Keller to tune in and love learning.  Among the wonderful things he has done in first grade this year, including learning Mandarin, having a lemonade stand to earn money to build an animal hospital for dramatic play, visiting The Orr Family Farm, having a manners lunch at Charlestons, and many more things, he also had the opportunity to sing Christmas carols with his 89 other school mates at Rivermont Retirement Home.  The seniors at the home were so entered by these children and we were truly impressed with how well they all behaved. The singing was excellent, but what was truly inspiring w...

It's been ENTIRELY too long!

Clearly Keller is distraught that it has been so long since my last posting. It has been almost two weeks since my last blog post. These last two weeks at school have been so busy that when I come home at night the last thing I want to do is get on the computer. Plus, working so much has not left me ample time to get good shots of Keller. When we're playing and he does something funny I never have the camera around. However, as a good change of pace I do have some good video taken from this weekend. My mom keeps Keller 2-3 days a week and for some reason she decided the boy does not have enough toys. As if...(haha, throwback to Clueless). So, she decided Keller needed to work on being the next Tiger Woods (before all the you know). Anyway, this is Keller with his very first set of golf clubs. At first glance, he seems like a natural... Doesn't it look like he hit the ball right into the cup and is now getting the ball out of his hole-in-one? We he did get it in the cup ...
