We took Keller to an Oklahoma City Thunder game on Friday night for his birthday. Our best friends Josh and Heather and their daughter, Saylor went too! We had a grand old time. Keller is obsessed with Rumble right now so he really could have cared less about the game. He just wanted to see that bison! The Thunder were victorious and won their 10th game in a row and both the kids left exhausted, so I'd say it was a successful night.
I say it all the time, but I will say it again--we are SO HAPPY that we have found Terra Verde Discovery School for Keller to attend. This year has been amazing. We have gone from having a child who HATED going to school everyday the last two years to having a little boy who can't wait to get there in the morning. His teacher, Ms. Lindsay Berryhill, is an amazing woman who has gotten Keller to tune in and love learning. Among the wonderful things he has done in first grade this year, including learning Mandarin, having a lemonade stand to earn money to build an animal hospital for dramatic play, visiting The Orr Family Farm, having a manners lunch at Charlestons, and many more things, he also had the opportunity to sing Christmas carols with his 89 other school mates at Rivermont Retirement Home.
