Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

The holidays went by way too fast. We spend Christmas Eve and the following morning in Pauls Valley at Jed's family's house, and we spent Christmas Day at my family's house in Edmond.
Here are a few highlights.

Keller found these funny man glasses and thought they were the most hysterical things ever. He wore them for about 2 hours!

The Lion King was big in our house this year. So for Christmas Aunt Joli and Uncle Gene bought Keller Simba...

and...

Pumba! (Timon would follow later as a get well present after Keller had surgery in January). Keller loved his two new animals. So much so, that as you can see, he decided to share his milk with Pumba.

What better way is there to close out Christmas Eve night then to curl up in your favorite chair with all your new buddies and watch The Lion King?

Christmas morning. Keller asked Santa for two things: a train and a fishing pole. Considering Santa brought him a HUGE new bunkbed waiting for him at our house, Santa only brought Keller a small Thomas the train for Christmas.

Apparently that was just fine though!

And he also got his fishing pole!

When we got home, Keller even had more presents waiting for him. Including his stocking packed full of goodies and his new Fort bunk bed.

Santa knows what this boy loves.

Of course the easiest way to get things out is just to dump them out!

Climbing at the top of his new bed!

Trying out the new fishing pole.
My dad's present for Christmas was actually for Keller. Weird right? When we were in the furniture store buying Keller's bed, we came across this kid-sized OU recliner. Well, my dad happened to be with us and he flipped over the chair and wanted to buy it for his house so he and Keller could sit in their recliners and watch football together. So, surprise for Papa Todd we bought it for his house for Christmas. Keller clearly loves the chair. It's perfect for sitting and watching The Lion King and holding a plate in his lap. Papa Todd was very excited too and is counting down the days until football season!

Drums? Whose bright idea was it to get a three-year-old drums as a present?!?!?!?!
Oh how we love our Uncle Tanner! (Paybacks are hell buddy!).

Happy New Year.
He's practicing for midnight--which hedid not make it to.

Happy New Year 2012.
Love,
Meagan and Jed

Terra Verde sings at Rivermont

I say it all the time, but I will say it again--we are SO HAPPY that we have found Terra Verde Discovery School for Keller to attend. This year has been amazing. We have gone from having a child who HATED going to school everyday the last two years to having a little boy who can't wait to get there in the morning.  His teacher, Ms. Lindsay Berryhill, is an amazing woman who has gotten Keller to tune in and love learning.  Among the wonderful things he has done in first grade this year, including learning Mandarin, having a lemonade stand to earn money to build an animal hospital for dramatic play, visiting The Orr Family Farm, having a manners lunch at Charlestons, and many more things, he also had the opportunity to sing Christmas carols with his 89 other school mates at Rivermont Retirement Home.  The seniors at the home were so entered by these children and we were truly impressed with how well they all behaved. The singing was excellent, but what was truly inspiring w...

It's been ENTIRELY too long!

Clearly Keller is distraught that it has been so long since my last posting. It has been almost two weeks since my last blog post. These last two weeks at school have been so busy that when I come home at night the last thing I want to do is get on the computer. Plus, working so much has not left me ample time to get good shots of Keller. When we're playing and he does something funny I never have the camera around. However, as a good change of pace I do have some good video taken from this weekend. My mom keeps Keller 2-3 days a week and for some reason she decided the boy does not have enough toys. As if...(haha, throwback to Clueless). So, she decided Keller needed to work on being the next Tiger Woods (before all the you know). Anyway, this is Keller with his very first set of golf clubs. At first glance, he seems like a natural... Doesn't it look like he hit the ball right into the cup and is now getting the ball out of his hole-in-one? We he did get it in the cup ...
