For Halloween, Keller was once again a figher pilot. At first I felt bad because he was a fighter pilot last year, but then I realized it was okay because Keller wanted to be a pilot again. He idolizes his Uncle Tanner and the flight suit fits him so well why not get the use out of it while we can. Keller really got into Halloween this year and had a blast trick-or-treating....for about an hour. Then, he decided he was tired of walking around and wanted to go home to hand out candy instead. That is where the fun truly began. He loved handing kids a handful of the candy and telling them, "Here ya go. Your're welcome." before they even had a chance to ask for it. So cute.
In November we also had a nice 2 week period when our water heater out (thanks for the wonderful earthquakes we've been having) and we had to wait for a part to come in for it to be fixed. We spent one weekend in Pauls Valley at Jed's parent's house. While there we made a scrumptious dinner from Barefoot Contessa. Keller is going to follow and Jed and my's footsteps and love being in the kitchen. This little boy loves to cook. On Saturday night he helped Rita and I roll out biscuits for dinner.
On Sunday, we took Keller to the movie theatre for the first time and went to see Puss in Boots. It was pretty cute. I was very worried if he was going to sit through the movie at first. He did get pretty squirmy, but once I went and bought him popcorn, he sat through the entire movie! After the show we walked around downtown Pauls Valley and there is the cutest gift/candy store called Jingle and Jangle. For a couple bucks kiddos can decorate there own cookie or gingerbread house with icing and cookies. Seeing as how Keller is only 2, we decided a cookie was a good option instead of an entire gingerbread house.
He caught on pretty quickly and loved squeezing the icing out on the cookie.
Decorating the cookie with the candy was more of a challenge because K was more interested in eating the candy rather than putting it on his cookie.
Finally, though, we were able to convince him to decorate the cookie and here is the finished product.
