Recently, some friends of ours had puppies! Well, that is to say their yellow labs Daisy and Cooper had puppies! Eight of them! The puppies were approaching 4 weeks of age on Saturday, so I thought I would take Keller over to play with them.
At first Keller was not crazy about the dogs, and refused to even hold one. But eventually he warmed up to them, and he even climbed in their kennel!
He was very unsure of these little guys and girls as they started to come awake and move around. Somehow I managed to convince him to sit down and let them crawl on his lap.
And he even gave them a kiss!
I wish I had more pics but didn't think about getting my camera out until it was too late.
On Saturday night, we decided to try out a new restaurant we had heard about, Asian Fusion (it was okay). Keller has never tried sushi before because we don't generally take him to Japanese restaurants since it takes about three hours to eat there! However, this place is different, kind of like Pei Wei, so he got to go this time. California Rolls are the only "sushi" I'll eat since it is actually cooked seafood, and I thought Keller would like to try it. He as quite fascinated by the chopsticks and tried to eat everything with them.
Yes, he is trying the California Roll. What I didn't get was is face as he spit out the crab he had just tried. My camera doesn't work that fast! It was hysterical. Needless to say, sushi is not in Keller's future any time soon.
We have been snowed in since Monday night with Tuesday bringing more than a foot of snow to Oklahoma City. The temp isn't supposed to get above freezing until Saturday and the windchill is in the negatives! We are seriously getting cabin fever around here, and I can't wait until Saturday when I can finally take Keller out to play (it is way to cold for him out there). On the bright side, school is canceled for probably the rest of the week so I get to spend some quality time with the kiddo.
Milestones:
Keller is now saying "bess shu" when he hears you sneeze.
"Welcome" when you say thank you
And he has decided he likes my Ghiradelli mint-filled dark chocolate squares (clearly a mature palate, haha), so now I can't eat those in front of him!
Everyday is a new word or phrase.
This is truly my favorite age.
