J-E-L-L-O!

Today was our friend Kyndra's (and Keller's babysitter) 17th birthday, and since we all have had cabin fever after being cooped up in our houses for three days, we had lunch out to celebrate. Keller went along for the ride, but quickly grew tired of our company and found an indoor rock garden to play in instead.
He hung out with the rocks forever. I finally made him get out though because he thought it would be more fun to throw the rocks out all over the floor and make a huge mess. Yeah, well, I'm sure you can guess how that went over. Instead, this is what he chose to do.

Yep, sat in the floor and pouted. Of course, it was partly my fault. Lunch was at his typical naptime, so he was incredibly tired. We didn't last too much longer after this (and didn't even make it through cake). However, I was fortunate enough to get a cute picture of Kyndra and him before we said Adios.

Since I have been snowed in and school has been canceled once again tomorrow (Friday) I decided I was going to break in my new stand mixer Santa brought me for Christmas. So, while I toiled away in the kitchen, Keller decided he wanted to snack on some Jello. Oh Boy! I think he liked it a little bit. Look!

I swear we have never laughed at anything in our lives as hard as we laugh at Keller sometimes.
He also watched American Idol with me tonight, and  I think he makes a great judge. Anytime anyone awful would sing, he would look at me, then the tv, and shake his head and hands and say, "No, No, No." It was a riot. Hopefully, next week he'll do it again and I can get video of it to share.

Terra Verde sings at Rivermont

I say it all the time, but I will say it again--we are SO HAPPY that we have found Terra Verde Discovery School for Keller to attend. This year has been amazing. We have gone from having a child who HATED going to school everyday the last two years to having a little boy who can't wait to get there in the morning.  His teacher, Ms. Lindsay Berryhill, is an amazing woman who has gotten Keller to tune in and love learning.  Among the wonderful things he has done in first grade this year, including learning Mandarin, having a lemonade stand to earn money to build an animal hospital for dramatic play, visiting The Orr Family Farm, having a manners lunch at Charlestons, and many more things, he also had the opportunity to sing Christmas carols with his 89 other school mates at Rivermont Retirement Home.  The seniors at the home were so entered by these children and we were truly impressed with how well they all behaved. The singing was excellent, but what was truly inspiring w...

It's been ENTIRELY too long!

Clearly Keller is distraught that it has been so long since my last posting. It has been almost two weeks since my last blog post. These last two weeks at school have been so busy that when I come home at night the last thing I want to do is get on the computer. Plus, working so much has not left me ample time to get good shots of Keller. When we're playing and he does something funny I never have the camera around. However, as a good change of pace I do have some good video taken from this weekend. My mom keeps Keller 2-3 days a week and for some reason she decided the boy does not have enough toys. As if...(haha, throwback to Clueless). So, she decided Keller needed to work on being the next Tiger Woods (before all the you know). Anyway, this is Keller with his very first set of golf clubs. At first glance, he seems like a natural... Doesn't it look like he hit the ball right into the cup and is now getting the ball out of his hole-in-one? We he did get it in the cup ...
