Before I begin, let me preempt by adding that I realize I have quite a few typos in my blogs usually -which is ironic considering my two professions have been editing for a newspaper and now teaching high school English! I have no excuse. I don't proofread these things. I just type and post. I am trying to get better though so please bear with me.

It has been a funny week for Keller around here. His Nonnie (my mom) kept him Monday-Wednesday and he went to Mommo and Bapa's (Jed's Parents) Thursday and Friday. Jed was out of town for business and I had an incredibly busy week at school, so having grandmas' help was a life saver.
Keller had fun, as always, playing in his ball pit upstairs. However, this week he discovered that a hand mirror makes a good shovel for throwing balls out of the ball pit and all over the upstairs room.

After I picked Keller up on Friday, we went to the park in the afternoon. He is not very cooperative when it comes to getting his pictures taken but here are some cute ones of Keller having fun.
He loves the slides!

Swinging is his favorite thing.

On the business side: Blue Eyes BBQ is continuing to go well. Now Jed has created a new bbq sauce called Afterburner. Apparently it is really HOT!!!!!!!! I wouldn't know because I won't try it. Hot things and I do not get along. The idea is to market it to the Air Force guys because apparently those crazy pilots love anything that is specifically made for them (no matter how bad it is, i.e. Jeremiah Weed Whiskey). So hopefully we get to see Tanner this weekend and he can act as our guinea pig.
Oh...
and...
BOOMER SOONERS!

Terra Verde sings at Rivermont

I say it all the time, but I will say it again--we are SO HAPPY that we have found Terra Verde Discovery School for Keller to attend. This year has been amazing. We have gone from having a child who HATED going to school everyday the last two years to having a little boy who can't wait to get there in the morning.  His teacher, Ms. Lindsay Berryhill, is an amazing woman who has gotten Keller to tune in and love learning.  Among the wonderful things he has done in first grade this year, including learning Mandarin, having a lemonade stand to earn money to build an animal hospital for dramatic play, visiting The Orr Family Farm, having a manners lunch at Charlestons, and many more things, he also had the opportunity to sing Christmas carols with his 89 other school mates at Rivermont Retirement Home.  The seniors at the home were so entered by these children and we were truly impressed with how well they all behaved. The singing was excellent, but what was truly inspiring w...

It's been ENTIRELY too long!

Clearly Keller is distraught that it has been so long since my last posting. It has been almost two weeks since my last blog post. These last two weeks at school have been so busy that when I come home at night the last thing I want to do is get on the computer. Plus, working so much has not left me ample time to get good shots of Keller. When we're playing and he does something funny I never have the camera around. However, as a good change of pace I do have some good video taken from this weekend. My mom keeps Keller 2-3 days a week and for some reason she decided the boy does not have enough toys. As if...(haha, throwback to Clueless). So, she decided Keller needed to work on being the next Tiger Woods (before all the you know). Anyway, this is Keller with his very first set of golf clubs. At first glance, he seems like a natural... Doesn't it look like he hit the ball right into the cup and is now getting the ball out of his hole-in-one? We he did get it in the cup ...
