Isn't he the cutest thing ever!
Jed and I both had the day off so we have just been kicking back, relaxing, and all that jazz. We have been contemplating converting Keller's crib to a toddler bed after learning that several people we know with kids around the same age have taken their kids out of their cribs. Keller is very into using his crib as a trampoline these days and he loves being in our bed and the guest bed, so we are tossing the idea around of letting him graduate to a bigger bed. Any thoughts? However, I went to Babies 'R'Us today (oh how I HATE that store), and the conversion kit that goes with his bed would take 12-14 weeks to get in. Are you kidding me? It's a couple pieces of wood, why so long? I hate hate hate that store so much. So, it looks like we have time to think about it anyway, but I would still be intersted in your comments.
This is Keller mastering climbing on the guest bed...
Because it has been so nice out this weekend, we thought this afternoon we would take Keller to the duck pond at OU and let him run around for awhile and chase the ducks. (I have no idea why it is called the duck pond, there are more geese than anything!)So off we went...
Of course, no trip in Oklahoma is complete without first stopping at Sonic during Happy Hour...
Then, he saw the ducks and started getting the hang of things once he saw another little girl feeding one. Excuse me, the geese. Ducks come later...

And Keller got so excited he slipped and fell on the hill, but notice he held onto the bread in his hand!

We were going to walk across the bridge to the other side of the duck pond, but this quickly became Keller's new favorite spot to play and we spend 15 minutes there with him just running from side to side of the bridge. I didn't know they were that exciting...Most people hate being on bridges, I couldn't keep my kid off!

We finally made it to the far side of the duck pond where there is a little beach that you can stand on and the geese surround you so you can feed them. Another family was just leaving as we arrived and they were nice enough to share what was left of their bread with us. Keller enjoyed having the geese so close and he wasn't even scared.
We enjoyed this little endeavor for a few minutes until the bread ran out, at that point K decided throwing rocks at the geese was the same as throwing bread. He let a few of them have it once or twice before we realized he was throwing pebbles at them. Poor animals. Of course, we had to tell him No and that it wasn't nice to throw rocks at the geese. Well, that went over well...
So that was the end of our day at the duck pond. Just as well too because as we were leaving we saw two ducks, um, well, you get the idea...
Enjoy the rest of your holiday!
