I hear school bells ringing...

School started on Monday so it has been a long busy week already (The kids don't even start until Friday!). I find myself falling into bed every night after getting home late, and as a result my computer life has suffered. I don't think I have check Facebook or even thought about updating my blog until today. It's okay though because there hasn't been much to update. Thankfully, Keller has spent this week in Dallas at Nonnie and Papa Todd's. We have missed him, but with me being so busy and Jed being sick (bronchitis and a sinus infection, poor guy), it was nice not to have a temperamental 20-month old running around. However, I was going through my pics tonight and realized I have one of Keller from last Thursday that I completely forgot I took!

Ha! Doesn't it look just like one of those fake legs you see hanging out of someone's car door going down the interstate? Only this is the real thing! We frequently find Keller sound asleep with either one or both legs hanging out of his crib like they are trying to escape. He has done with for as long as I can remember. Thankfully, he has figured out how to get them out from between the bars now. When he was younger, they would get stuck and he would cry in the middle of the night, and one of us would have to go maneuver the leg back into the crib.
Speaking of things he has figured out. This kid was Sooner born, he is being Sooner bred, and hopefully...well let's just leave of that last part for now. Listen carefully...

Is he the cutest or what!
Students start on Friday, very interesting stories to follow...
Stay tuned...

Terra Verde sings at Rivermont

I say it all the time, but I will say it again--we are SO HAPPY that we have found Terra Verde Discovery School for Keller to attend. This year has been amazing. We have gone from having a child who HATED going to school everyday the last two years to having a little boy who can't wait to get there in the morning.  His teacher, Ms. Lindsay Berryhill, is an amazing woman who has gotten Keller to tune in and love learning.  Among the wonderful things he has done in first grade this year, including learning Mandarin, having a lemonade stand to earn money to build an animal hospital for dramatic play, visiting The Orr Family Farm, having a manners lunch at Charlestons, and many more things, he also had the opportunity to sing Christmas carols with his 89 other school mates at Rivermont Retirement Home.  The seniors at the home were so entered by these children and we were truly impressed with how well they all behaved. The singing was excellent, but what was truly inspiring w...

It's been ENTIRELY too long!

Clearly Keller is distraught that it has been so long since my last posting. It has been almost two weeks since my last blog post. These last two weeks at school have been so busy that when I come home at night the last thing I want to do is get on the computer. Plus, working so much has not left me ample time to get good shots of Keller. When we're playing and he does something funny I never have the camera around. However, as a good change of pace I do have some good video taken from this weekend. My mom keeps Keller 2-3 days a week and for some reason she decided the boy does not have enough toys. As if...(haha, throwback to Clueless). So, she decided Keller needed to work on being the next Tiger Woods (before all the you know). Anyway, this is Keller with his very first set of golf clubs. At first glance, he seems like a natural... Doesn't it look like he hit the ball right into the cup and is now getting the ball out of his hole-in-one? We he did get it in the cup ...
